Social Media Intern (Spring 2022)

About the Organization:

Founded in 2018 by Fanta Traore and Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman, alongside a team of early-career Black women, The Sadie Collective seeks to uniquely address the pipeline and pathway problems faced by Black women within economics and related fields such as finance, data science, and public policy. Our mission is focused on promoting scholarship, cultivating ambition, fostering community, and enabling empowerment. The Sadie Collective has been featured widely in media outlets such as NPR, Forbes, Marketplace, Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times.

Currently, our community stands at ~1000 members of Black women and allies (recruiters included) across the United States and Canada. In the next five years, the Collective looks forward to meaningfully expanding our membership globally, through annual programming inclusive of seasonal workshops and training focused on finance and data science, and by building out a full-time staff to create institutional infrastructure which sustains the organization.
