Programs Associate
Your Objective
As the Programs Associate for the Sadie Collective, you work closely with the Sadie Collective’s Executive Director, Administrative Assistant, and Partnerships and Membership Engagement Associate. The Associate will assist the team in events management for two key Sadie Collective programs, the Sadie Collective annual conference and the Sadie Summit. The Associate will have excellent project management skills, execute day-to-day tasks related to program deliverables, and manage volunteer staff. The ideal candidate is interested in or has experience with large scale event planning for mid-sized audiences, (CSR), customer service, and comfort in a true startup environment. The Associate will work closely with partners, recruiters, volunteers and the Sadie Collective team.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter whose passion sits at the unique intersection of creating lively community-centered experiences and social impact. The Associate will help establish and build processes for the Sadie Collective’s events, while also supporting inbound requests and opportunities as they arise.
Location: East Coast (New York & D.C. areas preferred)
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Events Management:

Work closely with the Urban Institute, and Fellows to prepare for the Sadie Collective’s annual flagship conference

Liasion between the Sadie Collective and membership on all conference planning and logistics

Draft and execute schedule of events for annual conference

Liasion with Wall Street partners and Fellows on Sadie Summit events

Manage execution of the Sadie Summit pilot
-
Manages logistics for all concerned parties from refunds/reimbursements to booking hotels, flights, and preparing venue

Makes purchases from third-party providers for conference and for Sadie Collective merchandise

Documents Conference and Sadie Summit post-events
Other:

Provide insight into strategic plan

Serves as primary and initial contact for customer service related calls, fielding questions, issues, from members about conference or summit
Qualifications:
-
Excellent writing, and communication skills
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
Prior work experience, ideally in fundraising, nonprofit
-
Interest in economics, data science, finance, or public policy
-
Comfortable in an environment that embraces evaluation and quality improvement
-
Customer-service orientation and problem-solving attitude, along with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Skilled problem-solver and self-starter
-
Comfortable working with a diverse group of individuals to meet project objectives within established timelines; can effectively move from strategy to details in a seamless way

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Familiarity with Trello, Slack, Google Suite is a plus

Salesforce or other Donor software familiarity is a plus

1-3 years of work experience
Education and Experience:

Bachelors’ degree holder or a few years experience in project management for a nonprofit organization

Experience in event planning digitally and in person

Salary for this position is $50,000 with health and medical, dental and vision insurance. Benefits include medical coverage, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
