SACE2025 FAQs

General Information

What's new?

Specifically, SACE2025 will now comprise a series of both in-person and virtual short events. We’ll start with a virtual kick-off on February 14th, followed by webinars on March 13th and April 10th. These will lead up to a vibrant, in-person research symposium, career fair, and mentoring reception this summer in Washington, DC to celebrate in community with the entire Collective and its supporters. We’re so excited to share SACE2025 Reimagined with you!

What's better?

By spreading out the SACE2025 experience and including both virtual and in-person events, our community will have even more opportunities to connect with The Sadie Collective network. Culminating the virtual event series with an in-person symposium will allow everyone to connect with speakers and peers and share their work in an engaging, empowering, and vibrant atmosphere. Featured speakers include Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman (Harvard Kennedy School), Bree Jones (Parity), and Jacqueline Musiitwa (former USAID)! Featured career fair participants include top employers in economics and related fields, like government, finance, think tanks, industry & more.

Tickets

What if I already have a ticket?

Current ticket holders—you won't miss a thing! Your ticket already comes with full access to ALL the virtual events and symposium.

Will I get a refund with the adjusted prices?

Yes, if you purchased a ticket before ticket prices were adjusted to reflect the new format, you will receive a refund for the change in price.

What if I cannot afford the ticket?

We recommend that you look into the following options for funding:

  • Check in with your Academic Advisor(s)

  • Academic department and your academic college’s offices at your institution

  • Centers of Undergraduate or Graduate Research at your institution

  • Student government and student organizations at your institution

  • Professional development funds at your institution

  • Local organizations for funding

Once you have tried these options, please contact us directly at info@sadiecollective.org if you are still having financial difficulties.

When should I buy a ticket?

Now! Purchase your ticket here and get full access to all virtual and in-person events: https://sace2025.eventbrite.com

We know this change may bring some adjustments, and we truly appreciate your patience and enthusiasm as we continue to create safe and thriving spaces for new voices in economics and related fields. We can’t wait to see you!

Researchers

Can I still present my research?

Student researchers—this is your opportunity to shine ‘live’ in front of a world-class audience of researchers. While we still plan to host a poster session, a select group will also have the opportunity to present their work in short presentations on stage.

Sponsors & Partners

What will be the benefits of the reimagined conference?

More visibility: The expanded format allows sponsors to be featured prominently across a series of webinars, in addition to the in-person event. By spreading out the conference programming over several months, we are ensuring that sponsors and partners have consistent visibility and touchpoints with our audience, rather than being constrained by a single event in February.

More meaningful interaction with attendees: The new format will enhance partners' ability to engage with a broader audience, including members of The Sadie Collective's community who may not have been able to attend the original February dates. Sponsors and partners will now have multiple opportunities to connect with attendees in flexible and engaging ways.

How will the sponsorship and partnership packages change?

Depending on your sponsorship level, sponsors and partners will now have access to in-person tickets at the in-person symposium. You can find this information in the updated sponsorship and partnership packet. Please directly email partner@sadiecollective.org with additional questions or concerns.

Are there sponsorship and partnership opportunities still available?

Yes! Please contact partner@sadiecollective.org directly to purchase a sponsorship or partnership.
